Roschon Johnson may be separating himself in Bears’ crowded running back battle
Roschon Johnson is making a late push in the Bears’ running back competition, and his work on special teams could be what separates him. “He flashed the other day, in particular on special teams,” Ben Johnson said. “We keep talking about the importance of being the number 3 running back or depth in the running back room and being able to bring that to the table.” Johnson added that Roschon made several nice plays and may have accomplished exactly what the Bears wanted to see: stacking strong performances in consecutive opportunities. With final roster cuts approaching, Roschon’s ability to contribute beyond the backfield could prove critical to his chances of sticking on the 53-man roster.
