DMCA & Takedown Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
BearsTalk Media LLC ("BearsTalk") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users and content partners to do the same. This page explains how copyright holders can request removal of material from bearstalk.com.
About Our News Aggregation
BearsTalk publishes short, original summaries of publicly available Chicago Bears news with a headline, brief description, thumbnail (when provided by the publisher's RSS or Open Graph metadata), and a prominent link back to the original source. Summaries are written to be factual and non-substitutive — readers are always directed to the originating publisher to read the full story.
If you are a publisher or rights holder and would prefer that your outlet not appear in our aggregated feed, or you would like a specific image or summary removed, please contact us using the process below and we will act promptly.
Filing a DMCA Notice
To submit a notice of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)), please send a written notice to our designated agent that includes all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works).
- The specific URL(s) on bearstalk.com of the material you want removed or disabled.
- Your contact information: full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Designated Agent
Send DMCA notices and general takedown requests to: bryan@bearstalk.com
You may also use our contact form and mark the message as a takedown request.
Response Time
We aim to review and act on valid takedown requests within 3 business days. Complete notices that identify the material clearly are typically resolved faster than requests that require follow-up clarification.
Counter-Notices
If you believe content of yours was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address. Your counter-notice must include your contact information, the material at issue, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and your consent to jurisdiction of a federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., in the U.S. District Court for the district where BearsTalk is located).
Repeat Infringers
BearsTalk will terminate the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
False Claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. Please do not submit takedown requests for content you do not own or are not authorized to represent.
