Luther Burden named one of NFL's best receivers under 25
Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden continues to generate national recognition ahead of the 2026 season, earning a spot in Yahoo Sports' ranking of the NFL's top 15 wide receivers under 25 years old. Matt Harmon's evaluation highlighted Burden's explosive finish to his rookie campaign and projected him as one of the league's premier playmakers after the catch. "Luther Burden III came on strong at the end of his rookie season after an understandably slow start," Harmon wrote. "He is outright deadly with the ball in his hands and I believe he could be considered one of the four or five best run-after-catch receivers in the game by the end of this season." With D.J. Moore no longer in Chicago and an expanded role expected in Ben Johnson's offense, Burden enters 2026 as one of the Bears' most intriguing breakout candidates and a player who could quickly outperform his national ranking.
