Luther Burden expected to miss a month with groin injury
Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III is expected to miss approximately one month after suffering a groin injury during Saturday’s training camp practice, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz. The good news is that the Bears are hopeful Burden will recover in time to play in the season opener against the Carolina Panthers. The injury will likely wipe out the remainder of Burden’s preseason and interrupt what had been an outstanding training camp for the second-year receiver. Burden had emerged as one of Chicago’s biggest offensive standouts while developing noticeable chemistry with Caleb Williams. Assuming there are no setbacks, however, the current timeline gives Burden a chance to return when the games begin to count.
