Kyle Monangai reveals what he's focused on improving in Year 2

Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai isn't focused on making sweeping changes entering his second NFL season. Instead, he's emphasizing the details that can turn a productive rookie year into an even better 2026. "I did some good things last year," Monangai said. "I watch film and ask myself if I did my job, but then you sit back and think about it holistically, like what was I thinking on this play?" Monangai said conversations with Bears coaches have helped identify the smaller areas of his game that need improvement. "Those little things add up to big things, and that's where the big improvements come from." Monangai rushed for 783 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 4.6 yards per carry as a rookie in 2025. He enters Year 2 as an important part of Chicago's backfield alongside D'Andre Swift.
