Ben Johnson has massive praise for Bears WR Kalif Raymond
Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson offered some serious praise for veteran wide receiver Kalif Raymond, who continues to carve out a role in the offense during training camp. "He's everything we thought," Johnson said. "His play speed is off the charts, and he's made a significant impact." Johnson praised Raymond's work ethic, journey to the NFL, and ability as a punt returner, but perhaps the most noteworthy part of his comments was his description of Raymond as someone who will be an "elite part of our offense." Johnson even joked that when he asked Bears defenders who they'd pick for a 4x1 relay, they unanimously chose Raymond. Raymond's speed and versatility give Chicago another weapon to deploy alongside Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Colston Loveland, and Johnson's comments suggest the veteran could have a more meaningful offensive role than initially expected.
