Grady Jarrett points out what Bears still need to fix before Week 1
Grady Jarrett liked much of what he saw from the Chicago Bears during their latest training camp practice, but the veteran defensive tackle knows there's still another level the defense needs to reach. "I feel like we definitely came out and put a really good effort forward today," Jarrett said. "There's a lot to learn from. I think our finish could be better as a whole unit." With training camp nearing its conclusion, Jarrett acknowledged that fatigue can become part of the challenge. Instead of using it as an excuse, however, he views those difficult practices as an opportunity for the Bears to improve. "Hot challenging day, which is no excuse, but it's also a growth opportunity for us," Jarrett said. "But it definitely was a successful productive day, and I'm proud of the whole team, not even the defense, not just the defense." That's the kind of perspective the Bears hoped Jarrett would bring when they added the veteran defensive lineman.
