Devin Bush explains how Colston Loveland is making Bears defense better
Colston Loveland's value to the Chicago Bears extends beyond what he can do in Ben Johnson's offense. Linebacker Devin Bush believes practicing against Loveland is making Chicago's defense better, too. "He's a really good player, and he's going to be a good player in this league for a long time, however long he wants to play," Bush said. "The development goes both ways: I'm giving him good looks, and he's giving me great looks." Loveland presents exactly the type of challenge linebackers will encounter against the NFL's best receiving tight ends. After spending weeks trying to cover him in training camp, Bush noticed the benefit when the Bears faced unfamiliar opponents during joint practices. "When you go into joint practices after going against Colston weeks in a row, you get to see new players, compare, and bring new skills that you developed going against a guy like him," Bush said.
