Zavion Thomas reveals who helped him most at Bears camp
Zavion Thomas' first NFL training camp ended with an explosive performance against the Tennessee Titans, but the Bears rookie believes the veterans around him deserve some credit for helping him navigate his first summer in the league. "Having guys in the receiver room like the guys that we have here makes a lot of things easy for me," Thomas said. "Having people that I could look up to, like Kalif Raymond, just following in his footsteps. He kind of coached me through the whole thing, so he made it a little easy for me." Raymond is an especially valuable resource for Thomas. Both receivers can impact the game with their speed and provide value on special teams, giving the rookie an experienced player to study as he learns how to carve out a role in Ben Johnson's offense. Thomas certainly ended his first preseason on a high note. Now comes the more difficult part: taking everything he learned from Raymond and the rest of Chicago's receiver room and turning it into a productive rookie season.
