Joe Thuney marvels at Ozzy Trapilo's Bears injury recovery
Chicago Bears guard Joe Thuney is just as impressed as everyone else by how quickly Ozzy Trapilo has worked his way back onto the practice field. "I know, can you believe it?" Thuney said. "Credit to him, the staff, trainers, and weight room. It's just great to see him back out there moving in football positions again. He had another great year last year, so it's really cool seeing him back on the field." Trapilo suffered a torn patellar tendon during the Bears' playoff run in January, an injury that initially created significant doubt about how much — if any — of the 2026 season he'd be available for. Instead, the Bears activated Trapilo from the PUP list this week, clearing him to practice less than seven months after the injury.
