Bears rookie Jordan van den Berg earns first-team reps in Thursday's practice
Chicago Bears rookie defensive tackle Jordan van den Berg continues to earn opportunities with the first-team defense. During Thursday's inside run period, the sixth-round ookie rotated in with the starters, another encouraging sign that he's making a positive impression on the coaching staff. While it's only one sequence in practice, first-team reps during a run-focused period are noteworthy for a rookie fighting to make the 53-man roster. With the Bears continuing to evaluate their defensive line rotation throughout training camp, van den Berg appears to be gaining momentum as the preseason approaches.
