Braxton Jones leaves Bears practice after apparent injury
Chicago Bears left tackle Braxton Jones left practice early after appearing to suffer an apparent injury near the end of the offensive line versus defensive line one-on-one drills. Jones walked off the field with head athletic trainer Andre Tucker after attempting to shake off the issue, but was visibly frustrated as he headed inside. The severity of the injury is not yet known, and there has been no immediate update from the team. Jones has taken the first-team left tackle reps throughout the week as he competes to secure the starting job entering the regular season. Any extended absence would create additional opportunities for Jedrick Wills Jr., Kiran Amegadjie, and Theo Benedet in Chicago's ongoing left tackle competition.
