Bears sign veteran WR Ray-Ray McCloud III

The Chicago Bears added veteran depth to their wide receiver room Monday, signing Ray-Ray McCloud III and waiving/injured rookie Kyron Hudson.  McCloud enters his ninth NFL season with 100 career games under his belt and brings extensive experience as both a receiver and return specialist. The 29-year-old has 159 career receptions for 1,523 yards and has returned 140 punts for 1,326 yards, including a league-high 367 punt-return yards with Pittsburgh in 2021.  McCloud gives Chicago another experienced option during a stretch in which injuries have tested its wide receiver depth. He’ll now have an opportunity to compete for a roster spot while providing additional special-teams value.
