Coby Bryant carted off after apparent knee injury at Bears camp
The Chicago Bears' secondary may have suffered a significant setback Monday after defensive back Coby Bryant appeared to injure his left knee during a one-on-one rep against tight end Cole Kmet. According to ALLCHGO's Adam Hoges, Bryant immediately grabbed at his left knee following the play and remained down before eventually leaving the practice field on a cart. While players are routinely carted from the Bears' far practice fields, Bryant's emotional reaction after the injury is likely to raise concern until the team provides an official update. Bryant was able to get onto the cart under his own power, which offers at least some reason for optimism, but the nature of the injury remains unknown. The Bears added Bryant this offseason with the expectation that he would play a key role in the secondary, making his status one of the biggest storylines to monitor as training camp continues.
