Bears may not keep Kyler Gordon as long as expected
Kyler Gordon was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list for the 2026 training camp due to a calf issue, following a season where he missed most games. General Manager Ryan Poles and Head Coach Ben Johnson expressed frustration regarding Gordon's recurring availability issues. Gordon signed a three-year, $40 million extension in April 2025, and there are conflicting reports regarding when his 2027 base salary becomes fully guaranteed, impacting potential future cap implications if the team were to release him.
