Dillon Thieneman picks off Joe Burrow in Bears-Bengals joint practice

Bears first-round pick Dillon Thieneman intercepted the Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow during Thursday's joint practice after Burrow tried to squeeze a pass into tight coverage intended for tight end Mike Gesicki. The ball went off Gesicki's hands, and Thieneman was perfectly positioned behind him to secure the interception. It's another positive moment in what's been an encouraging first NFL training camp for Thieneman. With Coby Bryant expected to miss four to six months following knee surgery, the Bears need their young safeties to develop quickly.
