
One of the many splashes the Chicago Bears made this offseason was signing free-agent running back D'Andre Swift, giving their offense yet another dynamic playmaker to help out rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
But did the Bears almost lose out on Swift to another NFC team?
One of this year's "Hard Knocks" installments on HBO is following the New York Giants behind the scenes, and the series gave fans an inside look at the G-Men's deliberations when it came to Swift and his potential as a replacement for Saquon Barkley, who signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency:
The Giants ended up with Devin Singletary instead, while Swift lands in a Chicago backfield that already has plenty of young talent with Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson.
