Chicago Bears Sign RB D’Andre Swift to 3-year Deal
The Chicago Bears wasted little time agreeing to terms with free-agent running back D’Andre Swift on a three-year deal.
The Chicago Bears have a new starting running back after the team agreed to terms on a three-year, $24 million contract with former Philadelphia Eagle, D’Andre Swift.
Swift set career-highs with the Eagles in 2023, running for 1,049 yards at 4.6 yards per carry.
Bears are giving D’Amdre Swift a three-year, $24.5 million deal, including $15.3 million guaranteed, per his agent Trevon Smith at Athletes Firsr.

The signing of Swift ends any speculation that the Bears were in the mix to add a bigger-name running back like Saquon Barkley or Josh Jacobs. Instead, it’s Swift who will supplant Roschon Johnson and Khalil Herbert in the starting lineup and provide new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron with a three-down stud.
D’Andre Swift in 2023:

45 missed tackles forced
23 explosive runs (10+ yards)— PFF CHI Bears (@PFF_Bears) March 11, 2024
The speed at which the Bears agreed to terms with D’Andre Swift clearly indicates that he as at or near the top of their free agency wish list. Ryan Poles got his man, and the Bears offense just got a lot more explosive.
