Rome Odunze showing no ill effects from foot injury
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze appears to be fully recovered from the foot injury that hampered him during the 2025 season, at least based on his early performance in training camp. Offensive coordinator Press Taylor offered an encouraging assessment of the former first-round pick. "If he hadn't said anything, you wouldn't notice," Taylor said of Odunze. It's a promising sign for the former No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, who enters a pivotal third NFL season. With expectations rising in Ben Johnson's offense, Odunze has a prime opportunity to establish himself as Chicago's No. 1 wide receiver and finally deliver the breakout campaign many envisioned when he entered the league.
