Former Panthers quarterback Matt Moore was highlighted as the 81st greatest player in franchise history in a recent countdown. Moore joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2007 and notably led the Panthers to a 4-1 record as a starter in 2009, including an upset victory over the Minnesota Vikings. He ultimately played eight more seasons in the NFL after leaving Carolina.
