The Chicago Bears have announced their inactive players for Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, and several important contributors won't be available as Chicago looks to bounce back from last week's loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Linebacker T.J. Edwards and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson headline the list of unavailable players, leaving the Bears shorthanded at two important defensive positions.
Running back Kyle Monangai will also miss another game.
Chicago Bears Week 6 inactives vs. Falcons
The Bears announced the following inactive players for Sunday's game:
Case Keenum, QB (emergency third quarterback)
Kyle Monangai, RB
Tyrique Stevenson, DB
Keyshawn Elliott, LB
T.J. Edwards, LB
Jordan McFadden, OL
Jayden Loving, DL
Keenum's designation as the emergency third quarterback means he isn't in Chicago's active QB rotation but can be called on if needed.
Bears defense faces big challenges
Edwards' absence comes after coach Ben Johnson described his hamstring injury as week-to-week earlier in the week.
Stevenson, meanwhile, had been considered day-to-day with his own hamstring injury, but he won't be available against Atlanta.
The Bears are also without Montez Sweat, who is serving a two-game suspension, and Dayo Odeyingbo, who is on injured reserve with a quadriceps injury.
The Bears enter Sunday's game with a 3-2 record following their 31-7 loss to Green Bay.
With several key defensive contributors out, Chicago's depth will be tested against a Falcons offense led by running back Bijan Robinson and wide receiver Drake London.
