D'Andre Swift keeps coming up big for the Bears
Running back D'Andre Swift is a huge reason why the Chicago Bears are currently riding a four-game winning streak.
The Chicago Bears are currently riding a four-game winning streak, and a big reason for that surge is the return of an effective ground game, led by veteran running back D'Andre Swift.
Swift has put up impressive numbers over the past two weeks in particular, and those two performances have put him on a short list of Bears running backs in franchise history, as Kay Adams points out here:
A former second-round pick of the division-rival Detroit Lions, Swift was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles prior to the 2024 season, where he posted the first 1,000-yard rushing season of his career. When he wasn't re-signed by Philly, the Bears swooped in, inking the former Georgia Bulldog to a three-year deal.
After just falling short of that 1,000-yard mark last season, Swift is almost halfway there through six games in 2025, with 419 yards on the ground already this year.
There are plenty of reasons why the Bears have been able to bounce back from an 0-2 start and rattle off four straight victories, but Swift's emergence as a true featured back has to be near the top of the list. If he keeps up this level of production, it won't be surprising if he's a driving force behind a trip to the postseason for Chicago.
