EA Sports continued rolling out the ratings for different position groups for tMadden NFL 25 on Tuesday, sharing scores for running backs and defensive tackles.

Check it out:

As many Bears fans expected, D’Andre Swift was the highest-rated Bears running back at 85, good for 15th best running back in the game. Khalil Herbert checked in with 77, and Roschon Johnson was right behind him with 72, a two-point improvement from his rookie year.

The ratings for Chicago’s defensive tackles were not pretty. Andrew Billings led the way with just a 72 overall rating, the same rating he got a year ago. Gervon Dexter was next at 71, a three-point improvement from a year ago. Every other defensive tackle was rated below 70.

Madden NFL 25 ratings

The Chicago Bears have not had a dominant running back since Matt Forte departed in 2016, and while Swift has been decent so far in the NFL, there are still question marks around his game. Hence, the average Madden rating.

As for defensive tackles, I think the Bears where short-changed here. Billings was a big reason why the Bears boasted the best run defense in the league in 2023. For his rating to stay the same feels like a snub.

On the other hand, it was nice to see a slight increase for Dexter, given how he played in the second half of last year. If he continues to improve in his sophomore season, I think he could take an even bigger leap for the next Madden, especially if the Bears win as many games as some NFL analysts believe they will.
