Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore missed practice on Wednesday as he recovers from an ankle injury he suffered during Week 14's win over the Detroit Lions.

Moore went to the sideline briefly after the injury but returned to the game. He was productive, too.

Moore finished Week 14 with six catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. He ran three times for 20 yards and a score, too.

The Bears can't afford to be without DJ Moore in Week 15's game against the Cleveland Browns, who sport the NFL's top pass defense, allowing just 160 yards per game. The Browns allow the fourth-lowest average passing yards per attempt (5.7) and the fewest passing first downs per game (just 7.5).

If the Chicago Bears lose Moore against a pass defense as good as Cleveland's, it'll be a long day for Justin Fields.

Moore's absence from practice feels more precautionary than anything else. The fact he was able to return to the Lions game suggests it wasn't a serious injury and that the Bears are being careful with their most explosive offense weapon.

DJ Moore has 76 catches for 1,071 yards and 7 TDs through 13 games this season.
