Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles faces a tough call before the November 10 NFL trade deadline. He must decide whether the 2026 Bears are close enough to a Super Bowl run to get aggressive at the deadline and make a play for some obvious roster upgrades.
At 3-2, the Bears are firmly in the NFC playoff conversation. But Sunday's 31-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers exposed some troubling weaknesses, particularly along the defensive line and in the secondary.
Poles doesn't need to mortgage Chicago's future to make a splash. He does, however, need to consider whether a targeted addition could help the Bears compete for another NFC North championship.
