The Chicago Bears return to Soldier Field for the first time in the 2026 regular season on Sunday, and they'll do it with an early NFC North showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.
Both teams enter Week 2 at 1-0. Chicago is coming off its record-setting 59-37 victory over the Carolina Panthers, while Minnesota opened its season by beating the Green Bay Packers 39-22.

Bears and Vikings meet with early NFC North stakes
This game has far more intrigue than your typical Week 2 matchup.
Chicago and Minnesota combined to score 98 points in Week 1, the most ever by two teams that went on to face each other the following week. For the record, the Bears accounted for most of that total.
Ben Johnson's offense erupted for 552 total yards against Carolina, including 291 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns. Caleb Williams accounted for 334 total yards and four touchdowns, D'Andre Swift rushed for 124 yards and three scores, and Kyle Monangai added 100 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Minnesota had an impressive opener of its own, overcoming Green Bay and scoring 22 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to win 39-22.
Now the Bears get their first NFC North game of 2026 and a chance to start the season 2-0 while handing a division rival its first loss.
Chicago also has a streak it would love to end.
Minnesota has won six consecutive games at Soldier Field dating back to 2020, its longest road winning streak against the Bears. Chicago did, however, win the most recent meeting between the teams.
After scoring 59 points in Carolina, Williams and the Bears' offense will now try to bring that explosiveness home.
