The Chicago Bears received an encouraging visual update on Luther Burden III on Monday.

A video circulating on X showed Burden walking around at Bears training camp without any noticeable limp, an encouraging development after the second-year wide receiver suffered a groin injury during Saturday's practice.

Burden is expected to miss approximately one month, with the hope that he'll recover in time for Chicago's regular-season opener against the Carolina Panthers.

Seeing Burden walking normally doesn't mean his recovery timeline has changed. Groin injuries can be tricky, and the Bears have every reason to be cautious with one of their most explosive offensive weapons.

Still, it's difficult to view the video as anything other than a positive sign.

Burden had been one of the biggest stars of Bears training camp before suffering the injury, consistently flashing his explosiveness while building impressive chemistry with Caleb Williams.

Now, the priority is getting him healthy for Week 1.

And judging strictly by how Burden was moving Monday, his recovery appears to be off to an encouraging start.

Burden is coming off a promising rookie season in which he caught 47 passes for 652 yards and two touchdowns. Those numbers were even more impressive considering his limited opportunities within Chicago's offense, and his efficiency metrics pointed toward significantly more production if his role expands in 2026. That's why getting Burden healthy for the start of the regular season is so important for a Bears offense expecting him to make a major Year 2 leap.
