Bears’ top PFF grades revealed on offense and defense in Week 15 vs. Browns
The Chicago Bears avoided the dreaded trap game in Week 15 and improved their record to 10-4 with a blowout win over the Cleveland Browns. And the Bears' grades from Pro Football Focus prove how well they played.
The offense, defense, and special teams all contributed to the Bears' 31-3 victory, and several standout players stood out on both sides of the ball.
"I'm really happy with how the team played as a whole," Ben Johnson said Monday. "I thought all three phases did some really outstanding things throughout that game. Starting with the defense, [it] was just a really good job minus a couple explosive plays that we gave up; a dominant performance, if you will.
"Special teams played a significant role in that one as well. Kickoff was a weapon. Kickoff return was really good. Punt, punt return were really good for us, so [I] was pleased with the performance there."
Before we get into Pro Football Focus's highest graded Bears on offense and defense, it's worth pointing out that 2025 marks the first time since 2018 that Chicago has reached 10 wins. Remember: that was the last time the Bears won the NFC North, too.
Now, let's get to the grades.
NEXT: Offense
Bears' offense led by Colston Loveland, Caleb Williams
The Chicago Bears' offense received a big boost from rookie first-round pick Colston Loveland in Week 15. The 10th overall pick earned Pro Football Focus's highest grade on offense for the Bears with an 87.3. He scored a near-elite 89.7 in the passing game.
Loveland finished the Browns game tied for second on the team with four receptions for 63 yards. His development week over week has been incredible as he continues his ascent up the young tight end rankings.
The guy throwing those passes to Loveland, Caleb Williams, finished second on the Bears' offense with an 85.1 PFF grade. It felt during the game like this would be the likely outcome. Williams was efficient and made his fair share of big-time throws, which was reflected in his elite 90.2 passing grade.
Running back D'Andre Swift checks in No. 3 on the PFF's offensive grades this week with an 82.5. Swift was Chicago's clear RB1 in Week 15, finishing with 18 carries for 98 yards. He separated himself from rookie Kyle Monangai, and it's something to monitor as the playoffs inch closer. Perhaps Ben Johnson will begin leaning on the veteran a bit more as the stakes get higher.
And how about DJ Moore's 'welcome back' game? No, Moore didn't go anywhere, but he was invisible from the box score in recent weeks. That all changed against the Browns, though. Moore finished with four catches, 69 yards, and two touchdowns, and earned PFF's fourth-highest grade on offense with a 73.8.
Rounding out the top five is Jonah Jackson, who was the Bears' highest-graded offensive lineman. He earned a 72.0 from PFF.
NEXT: Defense
Bears' defense gets boost from backup linebacker D'Marco Jackson
Injuries at linebacker have plagued Dennis Allen's defense in recent weeks, which is why T.J. Edwards's return has been critical. The Bears could soon get Tremaine Edmunds back, too, but until then, Chicago will continue to rely on reserve D'Marco Jackson.
And maybe that's just fine.
Jackson was the Bears' highest-graded defender in Week 15, earning an elite 93.5 grade from Pro Football Focus. He logged 37 snaps and was incredible across the board.
He secured a momentum-swinging interception, too:
And what more can be said about C.J. Gardner-Johnson? The Kyler Gordon fill-in has quickly become one of the team's biggest offseason priorities to re-sign. He ended Week 15 with the second-highest PFF grade of Bears defenders who logged at least 30 snaps. His 80.3 score was the highest he's earned with Chicago this season and was bolstered by an INT as well.
Speaking of TJ Edwards, he had the Chicago Bears' third-highest grade on defense with a 74.6. His 90.3 grade against the run is an elite mark for a player who elevates everyone around him in run defense.
Last but not least, cornerback Nahshon Wright, whose breakout 2025 campaign continued in Week 15, earned the Bears' fourth-highest mark with a 73.3. With every passing week, the 27-year-old's offseason asking price keeps climbing. He'll be one of the most sought-after free agents in 2025 and may be playing himself out of Chicago's ability to sign him.
