Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze will miss Sunday's road game against the Green Bay Packers.
Odunze has been ruled out with a foot injury.
It's a disappointing development for Odunze and the Bears, but not necessarily a surprising one. Odunze had missed early-week practices earlier in the season and still managed to play games by sneaking in on-field action on Friday, but that wasn't the case this time around.
In his absence, the Bears will have to get step-up performances from the rest of their pass-catching group, especially highly drafted rookies Colston Loveland and Luther Burden III.
Don't be surprised if Odunze's absence also increases the Bears' commitment to what has been a dominant ground game lately.
