Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. And the Chicago Bears have been pretty lucky in 2025.

The Bears have dodged several superstar players on their schedule this season due to injuries. Just check out this list of quarterbacks who missed their starts against Chicago:

  • Joe Burrow (Bengals)
  • Aaron Rodgers (Steelers)
  • Lamar Jackson (Ravens)

Yeah, that's three MVP-caliber signal callers that the Bears' defense avoided.

Coordinator Dennis Allen won't be as lucky in Black Friday's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles -- Jalen Hurts is playing -- but there's a chance the banged-up Bears defense could dodge another bullet.

Eagles could be without star pass-catcher in Week 13

Star wide receiver DeVonta Smith is dealing with shoulder and chest injuries and missed Wednesday's walkthrough practice. It's the second straight day that he's been unable to go.

To make matters worse (or better?), Smith is dealing with a cold.

All-world running back Saquon Barkley was limited on Wednesday with a quad injury, as was left guard Landon Dickerson (knee).

The Eagles' offense is limping into Soldier Field for a game that could surprisingly determine who ends up with the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs.

Who woulda thunk it?
