The Chicago Bears delivered another late comeback win Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, and quarterback Caleb Williams once again made key plays throughout the game to secure the win.
The box score might not look like much, as Williams completed just 16 of his 32 pass attempts for 193 yards and no touchdowns. Williams also added 26 yards on four rushing attempts.
Even so, Williams made enough plays to put the Bears in position to win the game.
Bears head coach Ben Johnson was especially impressed by Williams' ability to avoid costly turnovers in yet another huge victory:
We all know Williams is capable of putting up big numbers through the air, but it's hard for even the NFL's best quarterbacks to do that against Brian Flores' defense. Sometimes, all you need is for your quarterback to take care of the football, and make clutch plays in critical moments to secure the victory.
That's exactly what the Bears got from Williams this week, and nobody at Halas Hall will be apologizing for a win, even without gaudy offensive stats.
