The Chicago Bears were one of the busiest teams during the 2025 NFL offseason, and while it appears their roster is settled for training camp, a new prediction suggests GM Ryan Poles may not be done making moves just yet.
In this blockbuster trade prediction, the Bears send wide receiver DJ Moore to the New York Jets for a 2027 third-round pick.
Call it a hunch, but I have a strong feeling Bears fans wouldn’t support this idea. Chicago is so close to finally having an offense that can threaten the league’s top defenses, and Moore is a massive part of that.
Trading him for a 2027 third-rounder? Nah, that ain’t it.
DJ Moore is better than his 2024 stats suggest
Recency bias may have Moore's arrow pointing down, but it was just one season ago that he totaled the fourth-highest single-season receiving total in franchise history. And, much like the other skill players on the Bears" offense last season, Moore was victimized by Shane Waldron's incompetent play calling and an offensive line that surrendered the most sacks in the NFL.

A bounce-back year is expected from Moore, especially now that Ben Johnson is calling plays. With Caleb Williams now armed with one of the NFC's top O-lines, there's no telling how productive DJ Moore can be in 2025.
Dealing a player with his upside for a third-round pick in 2027 is borderline laughable. But this is the NFL, where anything is possible.
