Twitter reacts to the Bears not firing Matt Eberflus (yet)
The Chicago Bears still haven't fired Matt Eberflus, and the NFL world reacted on Twitter.
The Chicago Bears fell to 4-8 after their most embarrassing loss of the 2024 season on Thanksgiving to the Detroit Lions. Despite rallying back from a 16-0 deficit to pull the game within three points and driving for a game-tying field goal with less than 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter, coach Matt Eberflus found another way to "Flus" a game by not calling a timeout after a Caleb Williams sack. The Bears ran another play, the clock ran out of time, and Chicago collected another loss.
Understandably, Bears fans and NFL media assumed Eberflus would be terminated Friday morning. He wasn't. In fact, Eberflus said it's business as usual inside Halas Hall.
Nauseating, right?
I decided to check the reactions on social media, of course, they're great.

I tried to give both Matt Eberflus and Ryan Poles a shot. I really did.

As a Chicago Bears fan I usually calm down the next day after a bad loss. Today? Nope.

If Matt Eberflus remains HC, Warren & Poles will have proven to be nothing more than draft pick puppets, not championship builders.
Waking up to Matt Eberflus still the Bears coach makes me more angry than I was yesterday. pic.twitter.com/6mgDUPCHZe
