
Heading into the 2024 NFL draft, it was clear that Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze checked every box for league scouts when it comes to being a No. 1 receiver at the next level.
His combination of size and athleticism was impressive, but Odunze still didn't get enough credit for just how fast he is, especially for his size.
After the Chicago Bears selected him with the No. 9 overall pick in this year's draft, Odunze's new teammates are quickly finding out just how much speed he brings to the table, as cornerback Tyrique Stevenson pointed out after one of this week's training camp practices:
Lining up alongside two star veterans in D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen, with Caleb Williams at quarterback, Odunze and his surprising speed should have plenty of opportunities to shock opposing defenders this year.
