During his college career at both Oklahoma and USC, quarterback Caleb Williams became well-known for his ability to create highlight-reel plays with his athleticism and instincts outside of the pocket, keeping his eyes downfield to crate memorable moments out of potential disaster.
Only a few days into his first NFL training camp with the Chicago Bears, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft is already impressing his teammates with that ability, as veteran tight end Gerald Everett noted Thursday:
Williams' efforts were often overshadowed by USC's struggling defense over the past two seasons, but that shouldn't be the case in Chicago, where he should have one of the better defenses in the league, as well as an impressive array of offensive weapons.
Don't be surprised if Everett isn't the only veteran Williams impresses across the league this year with his ability to create big plays on the move.
