It might be a strange feeling for Chicago Bears fans after watching the team struggle over the last few years, but there's a growing sentiment among the national NFL media that this year's team could surprise as a potential dark-horse playoff candidate.
The latest well-known voice to praise the Bears is NFL Network's Kyle Brandt, who has high hopes for Chicago heading into the 2024 season.
During a recent discussion with ESPN's Mina Kimes on her podcast, Brandt ranked the Bears as the 14th-best team in the league:
Being a top-14 team in the league would be good enough to earn the Bears one of the final spots in the postseason, so we'll see if they can live up to those preseason expectations after an offseason full of marquee additions on both sides of the ball.
