Last year, the Houston Texans shocked the NFL world by winning the AFC South behind first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans, thanks in large part to the stellar play of rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Could the Chicago Bears be this year's version of that team?
Chicago doesn't have a first-year head coach, but they do have a potential star quarterback in rookie Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
Matt Harmon of Yahoo! Sports believes the Bears are among the teams who could see a similar surge behind a star rookie under center:
If Williams lives up to the hype right away, it wouldn't be shocking to see the Bears make a quick turnaround and push for a playoff spot in 2024.
