HBO's "Hard Knocks" series has become synonymous with building hype for pending NFL seasons. This year, the New York Giants will celebrate their 100th season by partaking in a newly launched offseason version of "Hard Knocks." It got us thinking about a future Chicago Bears iteration. We polled our loyal followers on Twitter/X, and the feedback was overwhelming.
Fans would LOVE to see the Bears on Hard Knocks!
Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants will feature the offseason period from January to July 2024, with the Giants navigating everything from the NFL Scouting Combine to free agency to the NFL draft and team minicamps. Just imagine the cameras following the Bears through the same period. We would've witnessed history behind the scenes as the Bears selected Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft.
With an off-season version of Hard Knocks now present, the long-running program has three total iterations. Three in-season versions have debuted in recent years, following the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, and Indianapolis Colts, in addition to the typical show that runs through training camp. Whether the Bears are featured during the preseason, season, or offseason, it would make for must-watch television.
The storylines would have been plentiful. The aforementioned decision to draft Williams would made for fun television with cameras even potentially following the Bears to USC's Pro Day. It's also worth noting the Bears are currently finalizing plans for a gorgeous new publicly owned lakefront stadium.
Building a brand-new stadium would be an intriguing storyline for the Chicago Bears to feature on Hard Knocks.
