NFL Draft
Potential Bears WR Rome Odunze already forming bond with Caleb Williams
Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze are riding into Detroit for Thursday’s 2024 NFL Draft in style!
Prospects expecting to hear their name called during the first round of Thursday’s 2024 NFL Draft have begun flying into Detroit for the week-long festivities. That includes USC quarterback Caleb Williams, who will soon officially be joining the Chicago Bears via the No. 1 overall pick. It turns out Williams and potential Bears target Rome Odunze are sharing a flight en route to Detroit. Here’s to hoping they’re plotting a way to get Odunze to Chicago with the No. 9 selection!

Odunze is a fan-favorite for the Bears’ second first-round pick. General manager Ryan Poles may be in the market for another go-to receiver to play with D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen. Odunze is a big-bodied vertical playmaker that would pair nicely with Williams.
Odunze also joined Williams on social media fun, sharing his sentiments about flying to Detroit with the top-ranked quarterback and future Bear.
I’m actually the pilot this morning. Don’t worry I’ll get Caleb to Detroit SAFELY!#nosoulshaveperished https://t.co/3P9OCV7py4

If you recall, Odunze was asked a question at the NFL Combine about landing a plane in case of emergency. Odunze had fun with the question, responding, “Absolutely not. We are going down, all souls have perished.” The moment at the podium in Indianapolis went viral, hence Odunze’s callback.
Odunze better get Williams to Detroit safely!
