The Chicago Bears are back on the board in NFL Free agency, agreeing to terms with former Los Angeles Chargers tight end, Gerald Everett.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler broke the news.
Everett started 23 games over the last two seasons for the Chargers, totaling 109 catches for 966 yards and seven scores. He'll add a quality pass-catching option to the position and represents a nice complement to Cole Kmet, who's more of a do-it-all in-line player.
The addition of Everett all but eliminates the Chicago Bears as a possible destination for Georgia's Brock Bowers in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Everett, 29, entered the NFL as a second-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams in the 2017 NFL Draft.
