Here's the updated list of Chicago Bears offensive coordinator interviews (News)

Daniel Bartel-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears' list of potential offensive coordinators to replace Luke Getsy is growing by the day. In a way, it feels like the Bears don't really know what they're looking for in their OC-next, so, why not interview everyone?

We're up to eight (EIGHT!) candidates who've been through Halas Hall (literally or virtually) in the offensive coordinator search:

Shane Waldron (OC, Seahawks)
Klint Kubiak (Passing game coordinator, 49ers)
Liam Coen (OC, Kentucky)
Greg Olson (QB coach, Seahawks)
Greg Roman (former Ravens OC)
Thomas Brown (OC, Panthers)
Marcus Brady (offensive assistant, Eagles)
Zac Robinson (Passing game coordinator, Rams)

Got it? Good.

At this point, it's impossible to like one of these guys over the other. If you're like me, you're probably at the point where you just want the Chicago Bears to hire someone. The list of candidates comes from a wide range of backgrounds, but there are a few Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay disciples sprinkled in. That's the good news. There are also some retreads like Olson and Roman in the mix. That's the bad news.

I'd assume the Bears will have a new offensive coordinator in place within the next few days. Eight interviews feel like enough. If you don't know who the guy is after such an exhaustive search, it may be time to revisit the hiring process.
