Former Chicago Bears legend Devin Hester was ... ridiculous. And now, he's one step closer to being a Hall of Famer.

The Bears' all-time greatest kick and punt returner was named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

This is the third time Hester's reached this stage of the selection process, but momentum continues to swell around his candidacy. He holds the NFL records for the most career return touchdowns (20), punt return touchdowns (14), and most return touchdowns in a single season (6).

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is reserved for players who were the best at what they did during the era in which they played. Devin Hester wasn't just the best kick and punt returner of his era, he was the best of all-time. In fact, he transformed the return game and forced special teams coordinators to change how they approached every kick.

Here's to hoping a large contingent of Chicago Bears fans will be making the trek to Canton, Ohio, this summer to watch Devin Hester one last time.
