The news surrounding Chicago Bears wide receiver Chase Claypool has all been positive through the last 10 days or so of training camp, but that may have changed Wednesday when the fourth-year wideout exited practice with an injury.
The nature and extent of the injury is unknown, but Claypool didn't return after getting banged up.
Claypool has been in sync with Justin Fields throughout the last several practices and is a legitimate candidate to be the Chicago Bears player who's having the best training camp.
Rookie wide receiver Tyler Scott will be the biggest beneficiary of any Claypool absence, even if it's just for a few practices. Scott has been the Bears' most impressive rookie on the practice field and has already proven that he deserves meaningful reps this season. If Claypool takes a while to return to the field, it'll be Scott's time to shine.
