
The Chicago Bears defense won the second padded practice of 2023 training camp, rattling Justin Fields and the Bears offense into several turnovers and an overall lackluster day on the field.
The Colin Cowherds of the world will suggest days like Wednesday are indicative of Fields' lacking development, but as the third-year quarterback put it, there are positives the offense can take away from a subpar day.
Fields mentioned in his post-practice press conference that it doesn't do the offense any good if they can drive up and down the field at will. Instead, going through the growing pains of dropped passes, misalignments, and even bad throws can lead to improvement by the time the regular season rolls around.
