Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is entering his critical third season in the NFL after announcing his arrival as a potential superstar in 2022. The 2021 first-round pick nearly broke the record for the most rushing yards in a season by a quarterback last year, but for as spectacular as his highlights were, he needs to break out as a passer in 2023 to cement his future as the Bears' franchise player.

While there may be some remaining uncertainty about his arm talent, there's no doubt he has rare leadership qualities. He's taken control of the Chicago Bears offseason program. Fields is more vocal on the practice field in 2023, and he's organizing activities off of it.

The Bears' mandatory minicamp concluded Thursday, and with 40 days before training camp kicks off, Justin Fields is doing his part to ensure he remains in sync with his receivers.

He's already invited his pass-catchers to work out in Florida.

“Really just to get back on the same page, throwing routes with them, and just getting that chemistry up on the field, off the field and stuff like that,” Fields said Thursday.

There won't be much rest for Justin Fields as he gears up for training camp. He'll travel to France next week for a football camp before returning to his intense workout program.

Fields completed 60.4% of his passes last season for 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He ran for an incredible 1,143 yards and eight more scores.

Chicago Bears 2023 training camp will kick off in late-July.
