The Chicago Bears front office and coaching staff attended Northwestern's pro day last week to get an up-close look at one of the top offensive linemen in the 2023 NFL Draft, Peter Skoronski.
Skoronski has become a bit of a lightning rod within the Bears fanbase. The debate over whether he'll be a tackle or guard in the NFL has some fans hoping Chicago leans toward Paris Johnson Jr. (Ohio State) in Round 1. Other fans believe Skoronski will thrive at right tackle, thus making him a worthy pick at No. 9.
The cause of concern for Skoronski's projection is his arm length -- 32 1/4 inches. NFL teams prefer tackles to have a minimum of 33- to 34-inch arms. And while it may seem silly to knock Skoronski because his arms are 3/4 of an inch too short, it's a very real concern inside scouting departments.
It's one thing for NFL draft analysts to tell you that Skoronski's arm length will be a problem. It's another for you to decide for yourself.
