Two of the biggest 2023 free-agent targets for the Chicago Bears are off the board, as Javon Hargrave and Mike McGlinchey have agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos, respectively.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reported earlier in the day that the Chicago Bears were in contract talks with McGlinchey, who would've provided a huge upgrade at right tackle. The Broncos appear to have won the bidding war.
As for Hargrave, it's unclear if the Bears were in the mix. There are reports that Chicago is working hard at signing Broncos defensive lineman Dre'Mont Jones, which makes it unlikely they were negotiating with Hargrave's team simultaneously.
Despite having the most money under the salary cap, the Chicago Bears' 2023 free agency plan has been dealt an early blow.
