The Chicago Bears lost offensive coordinator Declan Doyle to the Baltimore Ravens, but they're not looking far for his replacement.

Press Taylor has been promoted to the role after serving as the Bears' pass game coordinator under head coach Ben Johnson last season:

Johnson will obviously continue to call plays for the Bears, but Taylor's promotion proves Johnson has a ton of confidence in his staff despite losing Doyle. The entire unit had an impressive 2025 campaign with quarterback Caleb Williams at the helm, but they want to build on that success in 2026.

Taylor, 38, already has extensive experience as an NFL assistant. He spent eight seasons in various roles with the Philadelphia Eagles, and a year with the Indianapolis Colts. Prior to joining the Bears, Taylor spent three years as the offensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

This will always be Johnson's show on offense, but Taylor brings a ton of experience despite his young age. Don't be surprised if the Bears offense picks up right where it left off.
