Studs and duds from Chicago Bears' incredible Week 16 win over Packers

The Chicago Bears pulled off an incredible Week 16 overtime win over the Green Bay Packers. Here are the week's studs and duds.

Chicago Bears fans are still picking their jaws off the floor after that incredible Week 16 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Caleb Williams was remarkable in the fourth quarter and overtime, and with this signature win over the Packers at Soldier Field -- in a game that felt very much like a playoff game -- the Bears can really be considered Super Bowl contenders.

Ben Johnson has this team at 11-4 with two games left to play. What. A. Ride.

Here are the studs and duds from the Bears' Week 16 win over the Packers.

STUD: Caleb Williams

There's not much that can be said about Williams' fourth quarter and overtime performance other than, "wow!"

He was... rare. Williams showed... it. He was... generational.

Williams finished Week 16 completing 19-of-34 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He added 30 yards as a runner.

But it was how clutch he was with his two touchdown passes that should have Bears Nation feeling like they have a future NFL MVP on the roster.

Yes, Williams will win an NFL MVP at some point in his career. Only MVPs make the kind of plays he made against the Packers.

STUD: DJ Moore

The Bears needed DJ Moore to step up in Week 16. Chicago was without Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III, and while the Packers were expected to bracket Moore, it didn't matter.

Moore led the Bears with five catches for 97 yards and one touchdown, including that remarkable game-winner.

The most impressive part of DJ Moore's performance was how tough it was. Most receivers would've tapped out after this early collision:

The Bears' offense will be clicking on all cylinders when the playoffs get here. For now, a gutsy, clutch, incredible performance like Moore's is what catapults good teams into Super Bowl contender status.

STUD: Jahdae Walker

Indeed, Walker only had two catches for 21 yards. But his 15-yard touchdown breathed life into the Chicago Bears' quest to win the NFC North.

Walker, an undrafted rookie who became a fan-favorite during training camp, proved on the biggest stage that the Bears can trust him to make a play.

It's moments like that that should keep Walker on the roster for years to come.

DUD: Bears' pass rush

For nearly four quarters, the Chicago Bears' pass rush was nonexistent.

Yes, Montez Sweat stepped up on the final drive of the fourth quarter to sack Malik Willis. And, yes, TJ Edwards and Austin Booker shared a sack, too. But Jordan Love and Malik Willis had way too much time to find open targets and drive the ball down the field.

Willis, in particular, completed 9-of-11 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown against the Bears. It's the kind of performance that Chicago's defense can't allow to happen as we inch closer to the playoffs.

Quarterbacks like Brock Purdy, Jared Goff (the Bears' final two opponents), and whoever they face in the playoffs won't be as mistake-prone as Willis turned out to be in overtime.

STUD: D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai

The Chicago Bears' running back tandem of Swift and Monangai was at it again in Week 16.

The duo chewed up the Packers for 22 carries and 108 yards.

Monangai had a nice bounce-back performance after struggling against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15. He had nine carries for 50 yards, and set the tone early in the game with this angry catch and run:

It took a while for the Bears' offense to start clicking (again!), but Swift and Monangai did their part to keep the game close.

Swift ended with a 4.6-yard-per-carry average; Monangai averaged 5.6 yards.

DUD: Officials

The Chicago Bears pulled off a miracle win despite playing against a 12th man: the officials.

Sure, the Bears were undisciplined at times. But there were some questionable calls, including this roughing the passer call against Austin Booker:

I get that it was an ugly hit. But Booker did not go headhunting. Instead, it was Love who lowered his head into the contact. Questionable call, to say the least.

NEXT: STUD

STUD: Cairo Santos

Anyone who watched Saturday night's game came away with at least one consensus takeaway: it was really windy.

It wasn't friendly kicking conditions. Yet, Santos nailed all three of his attempts and a critical extra point to force overtime.

Santos kept the Bears above water until Caleb Williams and the offense caught fire.

Who knows what would've happened in this game -- and the Bears' season -- if they didn't have Santos in Week 16.
