The Chicago Bears should consider drafting a wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft. The acquisition of Keenan Allen, who will play opposite D.J. Moore, has made it a lesser need, but a long-term requirement may be present nonetheless. The Bears currently possess two first-round picks, a third, and fourth-round choice as well. With their specific draft capital in mind, we’ve identified four receiver prospects, including an undrafted free-agent type, the Bears should target in the 2024 NFL Draft.

FIRST ROUND (NO. 9) | ROME ODUNZE | WASHINGTON

Rome Odunze is the likeliest of the big trio of wide receiver prospects (Malik Nabers, Marvin Harrison Jr.) to still be available with the Bears’ second first-round pick at No. 9. Odunze is a big-bodied vertical playmaker that dominates downfield opportunities with outstanding hands and leaping ability. Pairing Caleb Williams with Odunze would give the Bears one of the most exciting young QB-WR duos in football.

THIRD ROUND (NO. 75) | BRENDEN RICE | USC

The Bears showed interest in Brenden Rice at USC’s Pro Day. Of course the Bears’ decision-makers arrived in bunches to evaluate Williams, but members of the brass, one that included offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, also met extensively with Rice. Rice’s built-in chemistry with Williams could help both acclimate to professional football. Ryan Poles could target Rice with the 75th selection.

FOURTH ROUND (NO. 122) | JAMARI THRASH | LOUISVILLE

Thrash is a versatile receiver that can play multiple positions. Thrash creates separation with quick-footed acceleration. The Cardinals standout produced 1,980 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns across the previous two campaigns. Don’t let Thrash’s talent fall by the wayside in a deep draft class.

UDFA | RYAN FLOURNOY | SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE

Southeast Missouri State wide receiver Ryan Flournoy is a deep-round sleeper that deserves more attention. The small schooler received an invite to this year’s Senior Bowl, where he rubbed shoulders with the best prospects in the class. Flournoy then ran an outstanding 4.44 40 at the NFL Combine. Flournoy also leaped a 39.5 inch vertical and 11-foot broad. Flournoy possesses elite athletic abilities.
